1. Bangkok to Aranyaprathet
I take the bus from Bangkok northern bus terminal . There is bus every 30 mins from 7:30 AM up to around 13:30 PM. The bus ticket is around 200B. and I take taxi for 150B from where I stay (Khao San Raod) to the north bus terminal.
You may also take the train (bang kok Hua Lamphong Station) if you like. There are 2 trains going to Aranyaprathet everyday.

2. At Aranyaprathet
You need to take a tuk tuk to border around 6km away. It costs me 80B. The nice tuk tuk driver take me right into a scam immigration department. The handsome young man wearing polo T shit ask for $40 or $1200B for the visa. ( which the real price is half of it)
Though I perceive Cambodia official would be more casual, i still doubt the officer should hv a uniform. I walk out from the scam building right away , and spotted a border hotel on the opposite way, I went there and asked ppl. I found that the official immigration dept is just around 100m away from the scam shop.
3. Immigration and customs
The Poipet border crossing is open from 07:30-20:00 . Depending on your nationality, the visa costs around US$20 and one passport photo. In addition, no $1 bride is requested , I guessed the bride request is experienced by those who sucked into the scam immigration dept.
4. At Poipet
I leave poipet right away and I cleared the customs. I got on the mini van to Siem Reap which I 've dealt with on Thailand side . It opens at $35 and laid on $16 after negotiation. It is a minivan could take up to 10 ppl but somehow i was the only passenger .
5. Poipet to Siem Reap
The road condition is quite good in SE asia standard. The whol trip take around 2 hrs.
P.S. Just ask the driver to take you the "pub street" or night market if you were a budget traveler and hv no clue abt siem reap. The night market is closed to the Angkor Wat and you will hv no difficulties to find a bed for around $5 a night there.
