arena 後面 有鬥雞預備場

除左配對鬥雞對手外

鬥雞會係度熱身 : 雙方主人會手提住隻雞, 行近小小 , 比兩隻雞互相喙下

至於鬥場場面 . 去片:

3點半, 逗留了約一小時, 略為見識鬥雞, 就去了Giddy Place覓食

上:毅行者 中:炒米粉 下: 魚排飯

飯畢 ..懷著找post office 的心在donsol town 閒逛

這天是心想事成日

想上網見網吧,. 想芒果見芒果 . 想起halen  family在路上撞到應

最後當然找到post office  不過已經4點幾, 已關門, 明天請早

7點, 本約了早上看鯨鯊好好人的人對夫婦在Vitton Beach Resort 食飯

不過 打算要去 BARacuda 找Juliet,  要前往推辭.

You can choose your own fish from the day's catch and they will cook it for you. They also serve cocktails. The bar is alongside the beach on a terrace, overlooking the sea. Real friendly place, Juliet will come and chat with you if you are alone. She also tend to bring rum at the end of dinner, for free. P500-P1000.

知道Halen Family 也住左vitton, 懷著跟他們相遇的心去vitton resort,  再一次碰過正著,便 一起吃晚飯

他們已經在 Siramsana Restaurant & Amoritos Bar 訂了一隻大螃蟹 , 遂共之, 放棄了剛打完漁的Juliet

這餐晚飯是一個完美的了結 

首先, 再點一次正常雞湯, 早幾日在Breeze &Waves 的雞湯 未熟透 

最後, 在caramoan 因大風點不起的天燈, 也在這天跟他們一起再放, 很是有緣

天燈放畢 , 話別, 口頭說有緣重聚

之後與ka chun 去了vitton resort 做腳底按摩 30min (200P)

Donsol day 7 (1) . whaleshark interaction

清早起來, 跟owner 要廁所鎖匙 (早一晚被我反鎖了)

Owner 拿了一大抽匙 ..續條續條試 . 好彩最後都搵到

另下, owner之子Joe 熱烈推薦 cockfighting , 跟他約好 1:30PM  坐tricycle 去看

呢日早上與ka chun 分頭活動  

我先去 Visitor Center 報名出海看鯨鯊, 每程3小時

一隻船 3500P , 可以坐6個人, 佢會盡量幫你湊夠6人, 每人 585P

湊唔夠.就要貴d (e.g. 4個人 一隻船, 位位3500/4=850P)

一日有3 batch 船出海, 7:30AM, 10:30AM, 2:00PM    每次最多30隻船

首次出海 registration fee 300P

租snorkeling 鏡和蛙鞋 300P / day

total : 585+300+300= 1185P

8:30 AM 報名, 10:30 AM 出海 , 回頭與ka chun 去對正沙灘的vitton beach resort 吃早餐 150P each

早餐畢, 回visitor centor 等侯出海

ka chun 去了 donsol town shopping, 買了一些鏈, 一綑放. 看起來像hidden immunity idol.

10:30AM , 正式出海看鯨鯊,

船隊有4個人

兩個企係船竿上看海面, 找尋鯨鯊的蹤跡

一個駕船, 一個whaleshark guide --> 有鯨鯊出沒時,負責帶領乘客下海

同船有一對香港夫婦, 連我3個香港人

一對法國年青人, 一個德國人 

呢對香港夫婦 早幾年復活節4月時去過donsol

那次他們可以輕易看到鯨鯊 , 每次出海都看得到

多得如果鯨鯊未夠大未夠漂亮, 他們會省得花力下海

不過今時唔同往日, 今次係2月, 未算peak season, 鯨鯊罕至

今日佢地已經係第6-7次海, 之前也未得見鯨鯊

甚至連下海找鯨鯊的次數都只得一兩次

聽到佢地咁講..再加上早幾日myanar 老公也叮囑 donsol而家無鯨鯊

我期望set到低點

我地一行6人起程時都聊得頗熱, 香港夫婦一路與我分享看鯨鯊的經驗

去到12點幾..毫無動靜, 大家都坐定定無言對望 

Guide 也由alert 看海mode..變左玩電話

我已經打定輸數 - 無得睇

突然, Guide 好似從電話收到料 ,知道鯨鯊芳蹤

船很快便加油

從香港夫婦的分享中, 知道要趕忙準備snorkeling tools,  我也急匆匆準備, 不要錯過時機

大家在船頭剛準備好

Whaleshark Guide便從船尾跑到船頭 大喊: :follow me! 

然後立即跳落海.

我也跟著大家跳落海 :

在海中, 我很驚訝 海水之冷冷和混濁: 

呢日咁猛陽光, 海水點解會咁凍, ?

d 水又 乾淨無垃圾得黎, 咁濁既?

胡思亂想了一刻

探頭回水面,尋得whaleshark guide的身影, 跟佢游左幾步 

佢就大叫: Look down look down!

望落水:

見到一大團紅影, 上面有很多白點 , 係正我下面 觸手可及的地方經過

跟住魚鰭..我驚覺自己見到鯨鯊

好想出手摸但又唔想騷擾佢

大約幾秒, 佢好快就游過左我

我發力游幾步想追, 不過追唔到

再上番水面

見到香港個男人係正後面十幾米..佢都睇到

佢個老婆聽到我地對話..失望問: 點解我睇唔到既

傾左無幾句

個guide 已經係隻船上面..駛緊隻船過黎

緊張地呼趕 我地上船: Hurry Hurry!  x 20-50

約兩三分鍾, 全部人上哂船

隻船又比油 去追番條鯨鯊, 

大家都很緊張, 在船頭準備隨時跳海, 好像電影中坐直昇機去戰區打仗的士兵, 將軍一叫就跳

不一會, 我地見到有其他兩隻船的人都跳左落水 (其時有廿幾隻船在同一地帶) , 相信佢地都睇到 , 個guide 係咁趕人地隻船走: move move move!

可惜呢次時機已失, 沒有下水, 之後都再沒機會了

此程同船連我和guide 總共有4人看到鯨鯊

關於看鯨鯊 ,我想說的是 :

1. 想看到鯨鯊, 最好就係3, 4月時黎 Donsol (要有心理準備迫人, 同埋要預訂whaleshark tour , 無得即日walk in)

2. 找到鯨鯊的routine 和progress是這樣:

-Guide 玩電話收料 10%

-船比油 30%

-Guide 著 snorkeling tools 40%

-guide 跳水60%

-60%要去到100% 就要睇幸運

3. 要塗大量得防曬

總結呢次經驗, 我覺得很開心,

 一來覺得條魚咁大條係正自己下面游過 覺得好新奇

二來覺得好幸運, 連日黎幾多隻船無數人出海都失望而回

而我第一次出海就睇到..

呢d都好其次

最重要..愈回想愈覺奇妙的是

 "Whaleshark guide令我成功睇到鯨鯊" 呢件事 :

在海面的波浪水影上, 找尋鯨鯊的身影已經很難

找到後, 要同時做呢幾樣野

1. 指揮船去鯨鯊的位置

2. 指揮乘客預備

3. 自己穿fin 帶鏡

4. 在十幾廿隻船中搶好位

跟住跳水鯨鯊

成件事最難係個whaleshark guide 自己看到鯨鯊無意思, 要令遊客睇到whaleshark先算成功.

Timing 好重要 ,  佢要預判鯨鯊的方向速度, 計算埋自己跳水, 遊客跳水後的位置和時間

難度之高 無出其右 

可說是一項藝術

上岸後, 意識到whaleshark guide 其實是偉大藝術家

我禁不住特意走去讚佩他一番

他很是高興, 到visitor office 找了幾張 Cert 給我留念

Clean Friendly Donsol Homestay ( Barangay Dancalan)

Where is it?

in the Barangay Dancalan area, 5 min walk form the Whale shark visitor center. Opposite to Woodland resort & Elysia Beach Resort. There is a store in the front. Right next to a rice farm & surrounded by Coconut tree brought out the tropical feel. 

Visitor Center Resort Area : the blue part on the left is sea, where blue part in between is road.

I got to the Visitor center by 5:30 PM on my day arrived Donsol from Legaspi.  Since my shuttle I took occupied by Travellers, the driver took us straight to Visitor Center with Extra 20P each (100P in total) , after going to the original destination: Bus station in Donsol Town. Pissed at knowing closed Visitor center, nowhere to register whaleshark tour.  I  joined the firefly tour in the local tour agent (opposite to the Visitor Center)  for 500P per person. (later, i met some traveller told me the visitor center charged them 800P , visitor center is official in whale shark tour only  )

Knowing the firefly tour to be started at 630PM, I had to find a sleep place in a hurry.

Based on the recommendation in Lonely planet & wikitravel, Giddy's place was my priority choice. But considering after the newly met fd  who stayed there stopped me "don't  , it is a trap" and it is in the Donsol town but not the resort area nearby the visitor center. (To go from the city center to Dancalan the price is P40 for 2 people.)  OK, I needed an alternative.

Next to the Visitor Center, there is a Vitton beach Resorts, overall it would be a good value choice , it is very close to the whale shark center , opposite to the beach , good view with sunrise & sunset, hv a good restaurant, swimming pool( with wide seaview) , spa hut.  However, out of budget, so a no - go for me. It charged 2300P for standard room.

Then, I visited BARacuda, from the description I read in wikitravel, http://wikitravel.org/en/Donsol#

the owner Juliet seems very welcoming, however, no luck,  it was fully occupied on that day.

Next, i went to woodland beach resort, it is a older , more subtle version of Vitton resort, no restaurant, no spa, no swimming pool,  stand beside the beach though. Charged 1800P , with AC room, Cold showering, no WIFI.

Finally, I met Donsol Homestay,  the owner's son, Joe, who speaks OK english, came out from a store greeting at me  and took me to have a look of his home opposite to Woodland Resort.  What a surprise,  his home is very clean and quite city- like newly decorated, with a sofa opposite to a TV and a open kitchen in the 1st floor, where he lived. The guest room were on 2nd floor, smaller room with a bacolny, another room  is larger which I stayed , there is a little public area outside, and a clean bathroom (cold showering) on 2nd floor shared by 2 guest room.

1100 PHP (Feb 2013) for AC room, cold water showering, double size bed or 2 bed (1 bed on the floor). No check in check out Limit.

G/F, clean as hell, can see  reflection from the floor under dim light

To sum up: 

This is a budget option with resort lv cleaniness , and 5 mins walk from the official whale shark tour visitor center. You can live there and eat in the resorts nearby. 

The owner's son Joe is a cockfighting lover and a tricycle driver. He would love to take you to see see local cockfighting gathering which start 1:30PM everyday if you like. It is a good option to spend your time after you had 3 hour whaleshark tour in the morning.

On our 2nd day, which we are leaving,  they served (free) breakfast with fresh grill fish , coffee & potato occasionally.  The homestay owner who retired has it's own fish crew just has a fish catch on that early morning.

All in all, I found that locals in Donsol are very hospitable. A part of that is visitor carry cash, but I believe a larger part is something in their culture , they are truly come from the heart to respect the presense of visitor. 

Legazpi . Donsol (day 6)

 7點已起床  大慨對legazpi 的景點興趣不大
這天起來懶洋洋的
ka chun 到public area 上網, 我就在酒店附近散步
點了酒店早餐. 100P 一份, 有炒蛋.腸仔.飯, 同埋 熱水. ,杯和咖啡粉

邊食邊看了kvitova 的一場friendly, 和swansea 大勝qpr 4-1
約十點, 終於起行逛一下legazpi 的景點

第一站:  Ligoon hill  (entry fee: 20P)
約花20分鍾, 就能登頂
可以一覽Legazpi 全景, 以及對望Mayon Volcano

Legazpi 在山上看蠻漂亮
很多西班牙式平房, 機場附近一大遍草地 , Albay 灣 也在景中, 對出是一望無際的太平洋
當然, 主角是 Mayon Volcano , 在postcard 看到是尖頭的活火山.
這天尖頭部分被雲層遮蓋.


留了約30分鍾..行行企企影相
就下山坐tricycle (50p) 去了下一站 : Cagsawa Ruins

 breeze & waves  的Myrana 是這樣跟我介紹它的..
兩百年前, 火山大爆發, 有很多人死傷..
其中就有百幾個學生老師躲進了 一座教堂

我既預想發展: 在神的庇佑下, 這百多名師生成為了火山爆發的survivor , 從此 這教堂成了景點~

事實係: 個教堂都比火山活埋, 得番個頂..就成為cagsawa ruins ,紀念這次火山大爆發的死難者

Cagsawa ruins 與火山很近. 可以清楚看到整座 Mayon Volcano

約1點, 坐Jeepney (12P) 到 LCC Mall 吃飯  , 再打算看 從wiki travel 中看到的 Lapu Lapu Monument

在這裡找到一個 辦公的 post office, ka chun寄了兩張post card

3點 , Lezgapi的景點部分在2-3小時內結束
回府拿背包到 Central bus terminal 去Donsol.

Legazpi --> Donsol ( 100P  1.5hr)
因為全車約15人中有8人是遊客..車伕多收20P特別安排到總站  Donsol town之後, 再駛到 Barangay Dancalan 的 visitor center

Legazpi 去Donsol 的路鋪得不錯.. 沿山巒曲折而走,風光明媚.
車程碰上一位健談的local
他在Legazpi 長大, 在donsol 結識了妻子並定居
 Donsol 的whaleshark 本來是食物 , 最近十幾年開始禁止捕殺
他在93年第一次見到的whaleshark 約 20米長.. 他朋友說看過 300米長的whaleshark.
翌日在鬥雞場又碰上他..可惜現在寫遊記回想才醒起..當時對他愛搭不理.

5:30 PM到了關閉了的Donsol Visitor Center
遇到一對住在giddy 's place的香港情侶..很快手在visitor Center 對面報名參加了6:30PM 的 firefly tour (500P /person , 4-6人一隻船)

本想跟據lonely planet的推薦..先去giddy place 看看
但該對情侶大力bad motuh giddy place. 所以作罷
giddy place 在 donsol town, 是市鎮的感覺, 而且 跟 visitor center 有10分鍾的tricycle 距離
出海看whale shark 的碼頭, 沙灘, Resort 區都在visitor center 那邊

剩下一小時就要出發看firefly了..
與ka chun 急忙找resort

visitor center 旁有間 vuitton beach resort
2300P  有泳池有餐廳 正在沙灘旁邊
是不錯的選擇, 不過對我來說out budget

再往前走 有間 Woodland beach resort 1800P , 比vuitoon 舊一點
亦經過了 BARacuda , wikitravel 說有位juliet 會每晚出外打漁給客人新鮮晚餐

很快在Woodlan beach resort 對面一間homestay 定下來
會另寫一篇幫他做promo..將名為 Donsol Homestay
是一間兩層的房子, 樓下住人, 二樓有兩間房, 一個洗手間
住上左大果間,  乜都有,乾淨, 1000P a night

很快, 6 30PM 就去到 visitor center 對面 集合, 與與一對香港情侶, 另有一個要去palawan 考潛水牌的青年人..坐tricycle 到donsol bridge 那兒坐艇   看漆黑寧靜的河道兩旁樹上的螢火蟲


甫出發, 不禁枱頭欣賞星空
比Caramoan 看到的更多, 不過local guide 說"這晚很cloudy , 星星今天很少"

瑩火虫是聚集在一棵樹上的

艇一直駛..駛到有瑩火虫的樹停下來
一棵樹有很多塋火虫..過百隻
也有一些會同步閃爍
好似裝上人工燈飾會閃的聖誕樹

Guide 鼓勵我們拍手..可讓螢火蟲發光
我們也可輕易徒手捕捉塋火虫
讓它在手心發光

河畔兩岸的瑩光, 與頭上星河的繁星點點互相輝映
甚是浪漫.
同行的香港女子也再三開口讚嘆 , 覺得很值.

約8點, tour 結. tour guide 介紹了..一間kent's restaurant
餐廳在河畔, 入來是有幾枱客, 情調浪費

不過, 我們幾個香港人來了之後,點菜時熙熙攘攘, 餐廳變得很熱鬧

約兩小時, 埋單 5個人 2000P ,食上圖的東東 還有無入鏡的大蝦.


晚上回'Donsol Homestay"  寫定post card. 伺機而寄

是日有雨, Ka chun 5點起來召喚我 去看日出

早一晚1點才睡著 , 力不從心, 未能共之

日上一竿---> 6點 

起來到public area, Myrana  已起來 又談了一會 去legazpi 的安排

突然岸上來了訪客 - 海蛇

早餐

早餐時, 決定了 早上坐摩托車去睇mother of statue, 之前去辦最重要的事---> 寄post card

8點, 到了post office, 得悉這間Caramoan的post office 非關閉, 而倒閉也, 眼界大開,  
轉到 附近的souvenir shop 換 早一日買的tee..size太細 ( 按我和ka chun早日買了Caramoan 所有的post card-> 5張) 其間, 下起大雨, 故放棄原定前往 lady of peace

回旅店收拾細軟前往 Legazpi.
碰上巡遊-慶祝開學日

約十點離開breeze & waves ,坐tricycle 前往 碼頭.坐船回sabang.

11點半, 兩小時船回到Sabang, 緊接兩小時minivan 車程到Naga.

做了幾樣野..

1.午餐在SM naga mall 到 Shakey pizza 700P
2買sim card 打回香港
3重回bingo 場放下50P
4 最盜書-- 接下來要去的Legazpi和donsol部分

最後在Cebu pacific counter 印出 legazpi --> manila 的機票
要事都在Naga 辦好
就坐車到Legazpi 了 100P 2.5 hr 
(補記: 賣票車伕十分有心, 把握等車時間 熱心地指示我legazpi的景點以及交通資料)

開車前說100P, 到達後又說150P , 感覺比caramoan 差很多
另外, 他們亦喜愛推介當地的girl,據報很hot- 惟無圖..未能帶出真相

最後入住了 Tanchuling Hotel
與 central bus terminal (可去donsol) 很近, 20P tricycle 可到

稍事休息, 晚上十點出外覓食
lonely planet 推介的wayway restaurant 關門
tricycle driver 帶了我們去另一間 
menu 有很多菜. 希望著試新菜式 我們都愛點一些不懂發音不懂解的
可惜放在menu上的菜有7-8成都sold out , 最後點了一個炸雞
過幾晚再legazpi 的另一間餐廳也如此這般(食多次炸雞), 可能是legazpi的特色

中間是fish steak, 右面是炸雞, 左邊是特色菜: 唔記得名 - 略酸.惹味豬柳

晚餐間一直走來走向要引人注意的猫

Caramoan . day 4

在hazel resort 6點起床, Hazel resort 的弱點先沒有hot showering,遂收拾行裝到 Breeze & waves check in
1500P for 2 person (1300P / 1 person), 什麼都有 standard room with 2 single bed, with seaview balcony, 有燈有電有熱水有冷氣 ,有public area:有野食有wifi有書有水機

                                                 曾是survivor crew 一員的fernandes , 據稱他負責接載於Voted out survivor

Matukad Island : 攀岩約5層樓高度 圖中的湖叫Lagoon, 隱約見到PH 的國魚: milkfish
後來可以在Legazpi餐廳的menu 看到, 十分清楚的呈現眼前

據說是Tribal council 的地方 -Gota
此次island hopping 還去了 Sabitang Laya , 在此可以看到一大遍素淡的reef .

早上8點出發下午3點回到 breeze & waves
與kachun 在Paniman beach 覓食,  當地人在3點沒有心情煮食. 不果
饑熱交迫之制, 想起halen 昨天所贈的速食麵. 得以續命
同期Return的另一批island hopper 只能如survivor一般以coconut充饑

食飽, 騎單車到central town 遊覽並尋找post office
需時約45 mins.
找到post office, closed. 當時認為Closed是Sunday 不辦公的關係 , 打算下一天再去

晚上 7點與Arnold 和Jaison到旁邊的餐龐吃飯
將會補圖:

晚上  , 與 breeze & waves 的老闆娘Myrana 聊了約兩個鍾
她健談真摰 , 亦很新潮會玩ipad
Breeze & waves 是她一家人一起建立的, 有自己的發電機, 有穩定供電
而且部置很friendly , 同其他地方的hostel 很匹配, 把資源投到旅客的需要地方
颱風時, 其他旅店會停電, 常要接收其他旅店的住客

另外她也有十數人的船隊, 定時出海捕魚及帶旅客island hopping她要求US survivor crew 保證她的船隊有工作才讓 其入住, 很有
Survivor crew 曾在paniman beach 村口 setup 自己的camp site, 有自己的診所, 餐廳, 船隊

她小時候成績出眾, 考入manila 的大學讀書, 曾多年在中國人學校當數學老師,對中國人親切

Breeze & waves 這間旅店在paniman beach 基本上係鵷立雞群
另外在caramoan 一帶 有力競爭的是 Gota Village resort   不過價位在3000P 以上

一般 從Caramoan 到Donsol 的路線:
guijalo port --2 hrs 160P--> sabang port-- 2hrs100P--> Naga-- 2hrs 100P--> Lesgapi-- 1.5 hrs 100P-->Donsol

Myrana  recommend path:
Paniman beach --包船 1hr 2500P--> catanduanes island ---> 1PM  100P 4 hr--> lesgapi --> donsol
